This is straight up for the old school heads.
UK DJ Nicky Dungeons compiled a best of mix and video featuring many Acid House classics from 1988 / 1989. Some of the tracks were hits in clubs all over the world, others were pretty particular for the UK scene.
Even though I was never lucky enough to check out any of the UK raves back then, I remember the clothes, the dances & the songs from a few parties I got to check out in Germany. I tried to play some Acid House in my hometown back then but that didn't stick. Cuxhaven is just way too small to be cool :)

Carl Craig worked with pianist Francesco Tristano to arrange his compositions for a classical orchestra. The result is stunning and 1h 7min and 45sec long.

Monika Kruse - Morgana (Music Video)
{xtypo_dropcap}M{/xtypo_dropcap}onika Kruse together with producer Gregor Tresher has just (09/04/08) released her first solo album “Changes of Perception" on her record label Terminal M. I remember Monika mainly as a Techno DJ and artist but with this album she opens her doors to different varieties of sounds which resulted in me dropping two of those album tracks in recent shows. MORGANA was played on Deeper Shades of House show #253 and got a lot of great feedback from listeners. To compliment the release of the album, you can now enjoy a video for MORGANA produced by Adam Cominskey.
