AJ Dance from Atlanta reviews the parties he enjoys and the DJs who make him dance and he might have been present at all of Lars Behrenroth's gigs in ATL. When Lars recently played at Stan Zeff's and DJ Be's TAMBOR party this was no different and AJ reviewed the gig with a detailed play by play on his blog AJ DANCE LEGACY.
Lars is that eight year old child mistakenly left in a music studio, playing with the controls, sliding crossfaders, turning knobs, and pushing buttons that light up bright colors while he grins mischievously. Behind the decks, he is a mad scientist. Lars concocts further antidotes of claptrap rarely heard in these parts. Voiceovers and sampled vocals float haphazardly over the loudest percussions imaginable. Lyrics collide into digital beeps and pongs. The faint of ears need protection.....

It's no secret how much I'm into Jimpster. I have loved his productions, remixes and his label Freerange since the beginning and saw him DJ twice here in Los Angeles. I am extremely proud that in 2008 he released my "Ice On The Sun EP" on Freerange and included a remix by Version aka Charles Webster & Atjazz. In the recent months Jimpster has been playing an edit I did for polish outfit Scroczynski Prus. You can hear it on the Freerange Podcast from May, in most of Jimpster's recent DJ gigs and now also on this recording of the recent Boiler Room Freerange Records special.
Watch for Jamie working Scroczynski Prus "Final Wielkiej Cioty (Lars Behrenroth Re-Edit)" in and out of his set from minute 21:20 to 27:10

Japanese producer Rondenion is a long time Deeper Shades favorite for his midtempo and sample laden tunes released on labels like Still Music, Aesthetic Audio and Rush Hour.
In September his debut album "Luster Grand Hotel" will be jointly released by Roundabout Sounds and Plug Research. The vinyl release of the album will be available through Roundabout Sounds while the digital release is handled by California based Plug Research.
I will try and feature a track or two on a future Deeper Shades Of House show
Check out the video for "Assemblage", directed and produced by Rondenion.

If you have seen this video before, you know how awesome KiNK plays live.
Here's now a new video posted by Fact TV where you can see much more of his technique, live set up and awesomeness. I miss tweaking all those controllers when producing. One of the downsides if everything happens in your computer
Check out the video right below.
From the YouTube description:
Against the Clock's third episode, following sessions with xxxy and Thefft, features KiNK. The Bulgarian producer has been breathing new life into classic dance music forms -- piano house, acid, loop techno -- for several years now, both in the studio and with his live set-up, and with him scheduled to play secretsundaze's Bank Holiday event this weekend, we asked him about taking on the challenge. Of course, KiNK being KiNK, he did things a little differently: he sent us a video, filmed by Boris Katzounov, of him using vinyl acapellas and his armoury of studio gear to show off what he does for his live show in five minutes -- because why bother with 10 when you're this smooth, right?

In this new Native Instruments video you can get a deeper insight into Marc "MK" Kinchen's approach to his productions, remixes and DJ sets. Marc uses NI's Maschine to chop up a vocal sample and build a remix, then drags the parts straight into Traktor's Remix Decks.
My order for a NI Maschine is going in shortly, I can tell you that much.
